i know, i know. i haven't blogged in a while. i just got back from taking five students to keystone, colorado for three days of skiing. i had a blast! i think my students did, too. i like all the trips we go on and i like it when lots of students are there, but it is also nice to go with a small number. you definitely get to know each other better.
all the students picked up skiing really quickly. brian snowboarded and he did really well, too. i'm even getting better. i know that is difficult for some of you to believe, especially if you were with me on my first skiing fiasco in taos. if you missed it, i'm sure you can contact brad voss and get a copy of the video. it was not pretty.
this trip was not without its adventures. just getting to keystone was epic. it took forever!!!! jasmine passed out while we were getting our boots monday and had to be pulled behind a snowmobile to the medical center. lindsey, cory, andrew, and brian took a wrong turn, ended up on a blue and had to slide down on their rears to the bottom. we got to witness someone's ski falling off in the middle of the lift and got to watch the person ski down to it on one ski, which is pretty funny if you've never seen it. lindsey missed the lift and fell into the little pit below it. she also experienced various degrees of equipment problems. and then there were various falls and spills, including some of my own that were pretty funny looking i'm sure. it was a good trip.
so now i'm back in tulsa. i'm about the head over to the tulsa workshop. some of my friends from auburn that i haven't seen in a long time are in town and i'm excited about seeing them. more later... i promise. peace.
