i feel so much better than i did this time last week. i took a few days off this week and went to the lake and totally vegged out. it was so nice. i read and slept and played guitar and watched the last three discs from season 3 of alias. i've gotta admit i love that show.
my friend wade just posted some of his favorite shows and there were several i agreed with, especially seinfeld and magnum p.i. i love magnum. i would have to add alias, c.s.i.(las vegas is my favorite, but i like miami too), the x-files, remington steel, and the a-team. this is definitely not an exhaustive list.
anyway, i've seen this commercial on tv lately and it really ticks me off. i think it is for rembrandt teeth whitening strips or something. basically, the commercial says something about every woman in the world getting their whitening strips and how their smiles would light up the world. then they show all these beautiful, wealthy looking women from "all over the world" smiling their beautiful smile. something about that just irritates me. i think it is the fact that if we literally took all the women in the world, most of them would be from third world countries where teeth whitening is the least of their concerns. i'm thinking that trying to keep their families fed or working their farming or factory job is a little higher on their list. i would think that receiving food or medical attention or any kind of assistance would bring a smile to their face. i think that people showing kindness and love and compassion to each other is what will light up the world with smiles.
